Self-Priming Pumps

At OzPump, we distribute a variety of self-priming pumps that are suitable for handling a variety of fluids including slurries, corrosive fluids and solids. A self-priming centrifugal pump is designed to lift up water from some level below the pump suction without having to fill the suction piping with fluids or liquids. This is process is achieved by creating a partial vacuum at the pump suction which removes the air from the suction line.

Some of the benefits of using self-priming pumps is that it can handle solids of up to 3 inches and comparing to a submersible pump, it can continue to pump fluid while the pump is situated out of the pit.
